Books, magazines and newspapers have incredible power. They keep us connected to our world, allow us to embark on a new career, and give us endless hours of entertainment as we travel to faraway places from the comfort of our own homes.
However, more than three million Canadians are unable to read print because of vision loss!
Today, Canadians who are blind or partially sighted struggle to enjoy literature if it’s not made available in alternative formats like audio, e-text and braille. And yet, less than five percent of published materials in Canada are available in these formats.
